Gerringong is a laid-back town, perched on a dramatic headland on the NSW South Coast. It’s an easy 1.5-2 hour drive from Sydney, and just under 3 hours from Canberra. As you drive into Gerringong you can see beautiful Werri Beach stretching between the two headlands. Looking west are rolling green hills, making the entry into the township quite impressive.

Werri Beach is the perfect spot for a swim and is patrolled in the warmer months. It’s also popular with surfers with breaks at either end of the beach.

There’s plenty to keep you busy in and around Gerringong. All you need to do is stroll up Fern Street and you’ll see a variety of yummy cafes, deli’s, shops and boutiques. Insider knowledge is always best though, so we’ve listed a few of our favourite destinations below.
